Collie Indoor Bowls has updated its look after receiving a grant from Collie and Districts Community Bank.
Club president Myrtle Golding said the club was ‘pleased’ to be able to replace its playing shirts with the $540 grant.
“It makes it nice for when we go away and represent Collie,” she said.
“All the other clubs have nice new shirts but our one was really, really tatty.
“So we said we really needed some new tops to brighten the club up.”
Collie and Districts Community Bank director Ian Miffling said the bank was proud to support the club.
“We’ve always supported the seniors in the town … because we recognise the seniors are the people that have built Collie,” he said.
“This is our little way of giving back to the seniors.”
It was the second grant the club had received from the bank, after previously receiving funding for some new playing equipment.
“We’re very committed to all of our seniors organisations in Collie,” Mr Miffling said.
