A 34-year-old Allanson man was fined $1200 and banned from driving for nine-months after being caught driving with a suspended license.
Heta Hura Hohepa did not appear in the Collie Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 23 but was convicted in his absence of one charge of no authority to drive due to a suspended license, which occurred in Allanson on December 29 last year.
The court heard that Hohepa had previously been convicted of the same offence on three previous occasions.
Magistrate Greg Smith decided to impose a $1200 fine for the offence as well as a further nine-month disqualification of Hohepa’s driver’s license.
