Darkan bowls
Sixteen teams from Corrigin, Harvey, Eaton, Manning, Williams, Kojonup and Moodiarrup contested the Darkan Australia Day fours event.
The winners were a composite team of G. Holmes, G. Jose, D. Perrett and J. Cowie, 3 wins + 26.
Second place went to the team of B. Adams from Manning, 2 wins a draw + 11 and third place to D. Phelp’s team from Williams, 2 wins + 36.
Computer help
If you are needing some help with computer basics you are welcome to come along to the CRC in Darkan on Wednesdays from 10-11am for the “Where’s the On Button?” sessions during February.
No need to book just come along.
Toddler swimming lessons
Expressions of interest are being called for baby and toddler sessions at the Darkan Pool.

Junior swim club
The Shire of West Arthur is planning to run Junior Swim Club at the Darkan Swimming Pool on Tuesdays from 3.30-4.30pm for Austswim stages 6+.
The sessions should start on February 12.

Williams Police visit
The local Williams Police will be visiting Darkan for a casual catch up with locals on February 12 from 5.30-6.30pm at the West Arthur CRC.
This is a chance for an informal chat or if you wish to make an appointment to talk to them on this visit please phone the Williams Police Station on 9885 1100.
West Arthur council meeting
The first Ordinary Meeting of Council for 2019 will be held on February 12 in the Council Chambers, at 6pm.
Public question time is at the start of the meeting.

The next Shed Markets in Darkan are on February 10 from 10am.
Bring along any products you want to sell or swap or give away.
Morning tea available for a donation to the local St John Ambulance.

Second Darkan Sheepfest
Be sure to attend the second annual Darkan Sheepfest this Saturday, February 9 at the Darkan Town Oval from 9.30am.
Thanks to the hard work and creative fundraising of the local footy boys to get the big lights on the oval the event can now kick on until late at night with music and lots of fun.
There will be something for everyone at this re-creation of a good old country show.
