A 36-year-old Collie man was charged with one count of being armed that may cause fear after he threatened two people on Friday.
Around 10pm on February 8, a Collie man drove his vehicle into a parked car near the Collie Speedway, colliding with the front of the parked car, pushing it backwards.
The people inside the parked car got out of their damaged vehicle, only to be met with the male driver who then proceeded to raise an object at them in a threatening manner.
The man was charged and inquires are continuing with the crash. He will appear in court later this month.
The Collie Police Station were called out to 70 incidents and jobs this week, including a total of five family violence incidents.
On Monday, February 4 on Atkinson Street a 37-year-old male was charged with no authority to drive, after reckless driving and failing to comply at the direction to stop.
On Thursday, February 7 there was a burglary on Fawdon Way sometime between 2 – 2:30pm where cash was stolen.
At 10:30pm on the same day, a parked car was broken into on Throssell Street. A handbag was stolen containing a credit card. The card was used at the Steere Street Deli and to purchase a taxi ride.
Police were alerted to the incident and arrested a 22-year-old Perth woman a short time later. She was charged with fraud and stealing and will appear in the Collie Magistrates court later this month.
Senior sergeant Heath Soutar said as a result of that crime police were actively looking for a male person also reportedly involved.
On Saturday morning, February 9, an unlocked car was broken into at Black Diamond Lake, where a handbag was stolen and cash was stolen from the backseat.
Senior sergeant Soutar said it just goes as a reminder to not leave any valuables inside your car.
On Sunday afternoon, February 10, a fire was deliberately lit along Harris River Road, where a small ignition area of bush land was identified.
Sergeant Heath Soutar said no properties were damaged and it was the last thing they wanted to see in summer. Anyone with information on the incident can contact the station on 9734 6333.
In the early hours of Monday morning, February 11 a male came home from drinking and was assaulted outside his home in Archer Street.
He was left with a cut on his right eye and on his bottom lip.
Senior sergeant Soutar said if anyone heard anything in Archer Street at the time to please contact the station on 9734 6333.
On the same night a burglary was reported at the Collie Hills Accommodation Village on Hodd Road where food items were taken.
A juvenile was charged with stealing from Crank N' Cycles on January 18. They were caught on CCTV footage stealing a pair of gloves and will appear in court later this month.
A 37-year-old Collie male has been charged with criminal damage and aggravated home burglary after the incident that happened last week in Johnston Street.
He was remanded in custody and will appear in Collie court later this month. Other people have also been charged as a result of the incident.
