In town this week a gardening contractor was threatened with an axe by a man living at a nearby property.
On Monday, Feburary 18 just after 9am, Collie Police responded to a disturbance on Porter Street where a gardener was threatened by a man who wasn't happy with the noise he was making.
Collie Police Senior Sargent Heath Soutar said the gardener was okay, but shaken up from the incident.

Also, this week on Wednesday, February 13 an elderly couple pulled over on the side of the road near the Collie Cemetery to help a woman who told them she had her mobile phone stolen.
The woman asked the couple initially for a lift to the Collie Police Station before changing her story and requesting to be dropped off at another premise before stealing from them.
They stopped on Witternom Street to let the woman out before realising she had stolen a handbag which was lying on the back passenger floor, containing a brand new mobile phone and other possessions.
Senior Sargent Soutar said it was sad to see that the couple's kindness was taken advantage of.
Between February 12 and February 13 on Collie-Preston Road two batteries were stolen from an electronic road sign at night, and another one was targeted again the following evening in the same area.
Senior Sargent Soutar said if anyone saw anything suspicious that night around the area to report it to Collie Police on 9734 6333.
On Wednesday, February 13 in the early hours of the morning the Collie Waste Transfer was broken into.
A CCTV camera and a solar panel were stolen. Collie Police are investigating.
In the early hours of February 14, a car that was parked at the rear of the Crown Hotel was broken into. Toolboxes and some other property were stolen from the rear of the vehicle.
On February 14, a car parked on Throssell Street an offender smashed the right rear window of the vehicle and stole multiple items including tools from the toolbox.
On the same night a car parked on Clifton Street had a necklace and coins stolen from the vehicle, and a car parked near the Coalfields hotel also had coins also from the vehicle.
On Friday, February 15 some vehicle parts and copper were stolen from Premier Coal.
Senior Sargent Soutar said a truck may have been used to steal the big and heavy items.
On the same day an assault took place in the Collie Police Community and Youth Centre carpark at 7:30pm.
Two people were allegedly assaulted by a number of people. The two victims required hospital treatment for minor injuries.
A clothes dryer was stolen from a vacant house in Wallsend Street sometime between December last year and February.
Early Sunday morning, February 17 multiple cars parked on Patterson, Deakin and Denton Streets had their windows smashed.
A fire believed to have been deliberately lit burnt parts of the Collie Golf Course Sunday night, February 17.
Collie Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service captain Shane Hickson said the suspicious fire started just before 9pm and was burning at the Northern end of the course - close to where the old caravan park used to be.
“It wasn’t a huge fire but there was a lot of paperbark in there (golf course) – so it was dropping a lot of ash,” he said.
Senior Sargent Soutar said the fire burnt approximately 20 metres.
Mr Hickson said his crew luckily didn't take long to get the blaze under control as the cooler weather and light wind conditions worked in their favour.
The cause as to what started the fire is undetermined and will be investigated further.

On Monday, February 18 a 39-year-old male was charged with aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and breach of a police order.
