In the major singles it was between two new bowlers to contest this event at the club.
Graham Carter who had been close over a couple of years found himself in the grand final after defeating Gary Keep in the semi final.
John Waywood defeated Brian Butcher to make his way into the grand final.
Graham got out to an early start over the first few end with 7 to 3 then John found the green and his way. John came back and held Graham to 12 while he scored a two to make it 7 to Grahams 12.
Over the next four ends John score a three, two 1, 1, to make the score in his favour with 15 to 12 to Graham.
After 15 all Graham came out two on the next ends 2, 1, 2, 2. In the closing stages Graham held his nerve to make it 23 to 18 then claimed a 2 to make it 25 to 18 as the winner of the singles.
A very good game of draw bowls and up shots and tactics for these two bowlers.
Graham plays third to Gary Keep in Division 1 Pennants and John plays a third to Kevan McKenzie in Division 2 on Saturdays. Well done to both players on their achievements.
Ladies Pennants - Feb 19: The ladies commenced their semi finals and preliminary finals last Tuesday and had some success.
Collie played Binningup in the first semi final and lost then played Bunbury defeated Eaton in the second semi final. After lunch Collie played Bunbury for the chance to advance to the grand final and won.

Men's Tuesday Pennants - Feb 19: Division 1 Collie played in Binningup and the Division 3 Collie White played Binningup in Collie.

Pine Hauliers Meat Pack - Feb 20: Even though down with numbers the meat pack still had a good turn out of 16 players.
They played three games of 8 ends and redrew for partners for each game. Winner: Ray Colgan with 6 points plus 18; 2nd: Gayle Riley with 5 points plus 13; 3rd: Jamie Parker with 5 points plus 12; 4th: Val Brojanowski with 5 points plus 11.
Guppy's Smash Repairs Community Bowls - Feb 20: Some good scores have been registered by the community bowlers on Wednesday nights and by the laughter is a lot of fun and serious.
Stumpy strikers won by 12 shots, Turf Burners won by 3 shots , Derby road won by 2 shots and Bank West Bandits won by 1. Winner: Stumpy Strikers now have a 6 handicap; 2nd: Turf Burners.
Saturday Pennants - Feb 23: Collie division 1 were home against Binningup and Collie division 2 were away to Capel with mixed results.
In division 1 Ross Whites team won on the last end and G Keep tam also won on the last end and both teams were down through out the game.

CRVMC Championship Singles - Feb 24: The Collie Bowling Club held the Collie River Valley Medical Centre Championship Singles over two weekends with some changes in the winners circle.
In the plate Rob Ferris made his way into the grand final by defeating Jamie Parker and Tom Edwards defeated Hans Wiggers to make the grand final.
Tom was too strong on the draw bowls and his tactics played a part in the scoring, Rob was also drawing and little upshots but couldn't keep the bowls.
Half way through the score did not reflect the game Tom on 12 shots and Rob on 2. It was a great game of draw bowls from both players. The final score being Tom 21 to Rob 4.
