West Arthur CRC will be hosting Webinars by Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Interests. Topics include operational planning and goal setting, managing Club people, financial management, marketing and sponsorship, Effective teams. Dates for above topics are March 20, April 10, May 8, May 29 and June 12.
Walking Group
The Heart Foundation walking group has started again in Darkan. It’s on Thursday’s at 9am, meeting in West Arthur CRC foyer. It’s a 1/2 hour walk suitable for all ages and abilities and led by Jacki Bunce or Abby Warren.
Tech Tuesdays @ the CRC
If you are not sure how to upload, download, turn on, update on your phone, tablet, laptop etc… you are welcome to come in and ask Daniel one of the CRC trainees, between 10am-12noon on a Tuesday. Free for the first 1/2 hour.
Moodiarrup Dance
The next dance at the Moodiarrup Hall will be on Saturday March 30 at 8pm. The band is Campfire Country and entry is $10. Please bring a plate of supper to share. Contact Janette Whitaker on 9863 1056.
Farm Safety Workshop
If you are a WIFE (Women in Farming Enterprise) member you can attend a free Farm Safety Workshop in Darkan on Wednesday March 20 from 8.45 am to 2.30 pm. The workshop is run by Safe Farms WA. If you want to know more about this group you can email westarthur@wife.org.au
Kids Crafty Money Workshop
As part of Global Money Week (25-29 March 2019) the West Arthur CRC are proud to host a money-themed craft workshop on Tuesday March 26 at 3.15. Kids are invited to make piggy banks from upcycled materials and learn about money and saving. Afternoon tea provided. Please RSVP by noon Fri 22 March to the CRC on 9736 2000.

Counselling Available
There is a confidential, free counselling and support service available weekly in Darkan. Support is available for families and individuals for a range of issues. You can phone Sally Dickinson on 0427 192 155 to make an appointment.
World's Greatest Shave in Darkan
All welcome to the Darkan Sports Club on Saturday March 30 for the World's Greatest Shave and help raise some funds to fight leukaemia.
Special guest will be Jack Boyle who is celebrating one year post transplant from his own fight with leukaemia.
Meals will be on sale at $15 for adults and $5 for young children. The fun and the shaves kick off at 5.30pm with dinner served from 6.30pm. Followed by an auction later in the night.
All funds raised will go to the Leukaemia Foundation.
CWA Bring and Buy
The Darkan CWA will be holding a stall outside of Rarebits on Burrowes café on Tuesday March 19 from 10 am to 2 pm to raise funds for the up-keep of the CWA rooms.

Annual Electors Meeting
The West Arthur Electors Meeting will be on Tuesday March 19 at 6 pm in the Shire of West Arthur Council Chambers.
The purpose of the meeting and order of business is to accept the Annual Report for the financial year ending 30 June 2018 and other general business. A copy of the Annual Report is available from the Shire Office or website.
A copy of the report may be emailed or posted on request. To facilitate the answering of questions please ensure questions are submitted in writing and that they have been received at the Shire Office by no later than Tuesday March 12.
Darkan Dartboard
The Darkan Darts teams are looking for new players. The season kicks off around Easter and is played on Wednesday nights. If you are interested contact George Gray on 0488 442 037.
