Collie police took a wanted man into custody this week after stopping a vehicle in town only to acknowledge the driver was wanted for questioning over a serious offence that happened in Perth.
A 28-year-old man was taken into police custody after he was wanted for an aggravated grievous bodily harm assault that happened on January 7 in Kewdale.
Cannington detectives were contacted and Collie police met detectives half way. He was charged with aggravated grievous bodily harm and his bail was refused. He appeared in court this week.
Collie police attended 78 jobs throughout the week including several stealing offences at Worsley Alumina and Muja Power Station.
Collie police and RSPCA are investigating an animal cruelty incident that happened in Wylem Way.
A female dog and seven of her 10 puppies were seized after three didn't make it. An 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man are assisting police with inquiries.
Property damage, stealing and trespassing offences were reported to police which occurred sometime during March 4 and 5 on Prinsep Street, North.

Overnight on March 6 in Ogden Street some offenders approached an unregistered vehicle in a carport where they tried to access vehicle parts.
Overnight on March 7 a car parked on Quinns Road had diesel and hand tools stolen from the vehicle.
A boat in a rear yard at a Swanstone Street property had its fuel tank removed sometime during the previous week.
On March 7 sometime between 10am and 2:45pm an offender gained access to the unlocked vehicle parked in Cable Street. A laptop and keys were stolen.
Collie police senior sergeant Heath Soutar said it was a reminder to the community to be security conscious regarding your property, car and belongings.
Also on the same day a man entered SportFirst in town where he stole various items of clothing before leaving the store. CCTV caught a 24-year-old man. Inquiries are continuing.
During the early hours of March 9 police attended a house in Cunningham Crescent on three separate occasions after a disturbance of loud music was reported.
On the last occasion a 32-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man were arrested. Pepper spray was used during the arrest. They were charged with disorderly behaviors and obstruction of police. They will appear in court next week.
On March 9 a 32-year-old woman was stopped in town at 10:20am in the morning after she attempted to steal alcohol from both Collie Liquorland stores.
Police also attended the Crown Hotel at 10pm where they spoke to a juvenile outside the pub. The juvenile is facing judicial processes as a result of disorderly behaviour and obstruction of police.
