Collie Men's hockey kicked off on April 5 with two games played on Friday night.
Action began with Centaurs Green taking on Mustangs in the early fixture.
The first half was fairly uneventful with both teams showing some rust and flowing link up play was hard to find.
The teams went into the break with scores locked at nil all.
The second half saw Centaur's pre-season work pay dividends, with the boys in green managing to run out the game strongly and win 2-0 with goals to Greg Tomasini and new recruit Nathan Macintyre.
With 2018 premiers Patriots having the bye, Co-op took on Centaurs Red in the second game.
Co-op began the 2019 season on fire putting eight goals past Centaurs Red in a brilliant half of hockey.
Centaurs were good enough to come back and win the second half 2-0 but it was not enough as Co-op ran out easy winners.
