After a gallant second when he led to within the shadows of the post the previous week, the Wayne Justin's trained, Jack Justin's driven Mighty Flying Deal showed great stamina when he made an early three-wide run to the breeze and then fought off all challengers after collaring the leader.
His run the previous week did not go unnoticed by punters as he started a solid fixed odds favourite at $3.
At the Bunbury programme on the same night the Ashcroft's Call Me Ernie celebrated another win for his new trainer/driver in Ashleigh Markham when he came from behind the leader for a stylish victory as a $5.50 shot.
On the same programme Trent Wheeler ran third with John Graham's Fight Song and he continued the form at Pinjarra's meeting on Monday afternoon when he piloted the Ross Ashby trained Disco Durante to second place after also sitting behind the leader and favourite.
This followed a winning drive the previous Monday on Hayden Reeves' Whitbys Gamble who sat in a similar position before finishing too well as a $7 chance.
Other placings over that weekend included Come Dance With Me and Itzallaboutmagic for David Hunter and Stuart McDonald, Gunna Get Lucky for Wayne Justins and Michael Grantham and Disco Bolt for Ross Ashby and Trent Wheeler.
Racing this weekend is at Wagin and Gloucester Park tonight, Bunbury on Saturday and Pinjarra on Monday.
