Local Footy Results

It was great to see the crowd at the local footy games on Saturday, April 27 with the Wagin Bulldogs playing Boddington.

D-grade had a decisive win over the visitors, as did the reserves, winning 11.7 (73) to 4.4 (28), but the league side just went down 9.9 (63) to 12.14 (86).

St John Ambulance Award

Congratulations to Wendy Cochrane for becoming a Member of the Order of St John.

Wendy was presented with her award by the Governor of Western Australia, The Knight Commander, The Honorable Kim Beazley, AC KStJ at an award ceremony in Perth recently.

This is a well-deserved honour for Wendy's service to St John Ambulance and the West Arthur community.

Games Night

Everyone is invited to the West Arthur CRC on Friday, May 10 for a Games Night with a bit of a difference.

To celebrate Neighbourhood Centre Week 2019, the CRC is hosting a board games and cards night to try out some brand new games on the market.

This is accompanied by a buffet dinner from 6.30pm, with the games to start about 7pm.

Thanks to Linkwest and Lotterywest for the funding for the evening.

Women's Health Clinic

There will be a Well Women's Clinic at the West Arthur Health Medical Centre on Friday, May 17.

A female GP and a nurse trained in cervical screening will be available for appointments.

Traineeship Available in Darkan

Expressions of interest are being sought for a 12-month traineeship at the West Arthur CRC.

This would suit a junior trainee.

The program would involve the completion of a Certificate in Business at some level.

Yoga sessions are back on Fridays at the CRC at 10am, with a crèche available.

On May 1, Morans defeated Darkan Blue 7-4, with Barry Ugle having the highest average, 64.2, and high scores of 180, 140 and 100.
