Registrations for the annual Collie Adventure Race are now open, with South-West competitors being urged to put the dates in their racing calendars.
The race, hosted by the Collie Rotary Club, will be held on October 12 - 13 at Minninup Pool.
Collie Adventure Race event organiser Darren Coram said the event started 19 years ago and had grown into a multi-sport event for adults and children.
"Time is flying by this year and it's hard to believe we are in the month of May already, so we thought we would remind everyone that entries are now open," he said.
"We are very appreciative of our sponsors and supporters and are encouraging local businesses and the community to support events such as these as it brings so many families and competitors from out of town for the weekend.
"It can be completed by teams or individuals."
South32, the Shire of Collie, Premier Coal, Bendigo Bank, Crank'n Cycles, Piavanini Welding, Guppy Smash Repairs, Collie Dominos, and Physio Group South West are the sponsors for the weekend.
Mr Coram said the Bendigo Bank Short Course provided a great opportunity for anyone wanting to compete in their first event and the Premier Coal Junior Race had been really popular for children over the past two years.
The various races are:
