The annual Interschool Cross Country Carnival was held at the Tom Lowry Memorial Oval in Allanson, in perfect weather conditions, on Wednesday, June 5.
All local Primary schools sent teams to compete in what can only be described as a very challenging course.
To the credit of all competitors, every student completed the course, the first time this has happened in at least 10 years.
As always, the sportsmanship shown on the day from both students and parents was outstanding. Well done to you all.
Amaroo proved too strong on the day, but St Brigids are looming as the school to beat in future years.
Congratulations to the students, school staff, parents, volunteers and organisers for a great day that ran very smoothly.
See you next year for, hopefully, another closely contested event.
