Danny Cheng and David Blurton won the Collie Golf Club foursomes championship in a play-off on Saturday, June 29.
At the completion of 18 holes, they had 88 gross, the same score returned by Greg Bell and Michael Dowling.
The winners managed a trouble-free par to take the event when the best that Dowling and Bell could muster was a one-over par five on the play-off hole, number five.
Blurton and Cheng were the more consistent during the event, with the highlight being a birdie three on the par-four second hole.
Dowling and Bell had their chances after a good 42 on the opening nine, but were chasing the game after a triple bogey on No. 10.
Third spot went to Colin Giblett and Trevor McCormick, just one shot back from the top two.
In the nett section, Kim "Baby Beef" Metcalfe made a great return to golf after his cruising holiday.
Partner Rob Cavanagh was in fine touch as the pair finished on 73 to win the nett on a countback from Ian Stewart and Clive Pullan.
Ray Cooper and Steven Ireland were third, on 76.
Novelty winners were Clayton Flynn (No. 4), Danny Cheng (6), Colin Giblett (7), Kim Metcalfe (9), Rob Cavanagh (14), Jay Robinson (15) and Dave Blurton (18).
Leisure Day
CLUB champion Chris Stewart had a course equalling 68 in Tuesday, July 2's leisure day 18-hole stableford.
During a round which most golfers only ever dream of, Stewart had consecutive birdies on holes three, four and five to go out in a two under par 34.
On the back nine, he had another 34, courtesy of consecutive birdies on Nos. 15 and 16 to finish with a stableford score of 42 points.
Four shots back on a nett score of 38 was Ray Cooper with a further stroke margin to Dean Rakich, on 37, which was also returned by the day's best vet, Alan Kent.
Phil Warburton 36, Corey Slater and John Michalak 35 also received vouchers.
Stephen Farquhar was nearest second shot on number four, while nearest the pins went to Ross Davidson (7) and Alan Kent (14), with Jim Moyses sinking the longest putt on No. 9.
Scroungers
Thursday, July 4's nine-hole scroungers event had to be cancelled following heavy overnight rain which made the course unplayable.
