Men's 2019 Great Southern Golf Championships: The Men's Great Southern Golf Championships were held in Darkan over the weekend of July 6 and 7.
Forty nine players from 10 clubs throughout the Great Southern competed.
Sponsored by Midalia Steel and Icon Agriculture, it was a great weekend and included some lovely food provided by the Darkan Women's Golf Club.

Mobile Centrelink Van: The Mobile Service Centre will be in Darkan on August 6 from 9.30am-4pm across the road from the shopping precinct.

WAX 19 Welding Workshop: If you want to learn how to weld and especially if you want to make something for this year's West Arthur eXpression artistic event then book in now for a free workshop on July 21.
There is one at 9am and one at 1pm with limited places.
The workshops will be run by Designer Dirt from Albany and cost is covered by the event's grant.

Farm Industrial Relations Presentation: Danielle McNamee from ProcessWorx will be presenting a training session on August 15 at 8.30am at the West Arthur CRC.
The topics covered include state and national legislation; awards (specifically the flexibility clause of the Pastoral Award); Contracts; IFAs: "Better Off Overall Test" and also practical tips on introducing a contract and IFA to new and existing employees.
The session will go for 1.5 hours and be followed by question time. Cost $50pp, payable prior to the day. Phone the CRC on 9736 2000 to book in.
School Holiday Activity: Kids can come along to a Holiday Movie Session at the West Arthur CRC on July 18 at 1.30pm.
The move is Goosebumps (PG) and it's in the Hawthorn Room at the CRC so bring along a blanket or pillow if you want to sit on the floor.
It's free and includes some popcorn.
McGrath Foundation High Tea: All welcome to a High Tea at Quindanning Hall to raise money for the Jane McGrath Foundation on July 29 at 11.30am.
Wear pink and help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.
