In great winter conditions for golf, 62 golfers or 31 pairs played in the two-person ambrose event sponsored by the Collie Eagles Football Club.
In a close contest, the pairing of Warren Hann and Brett Smith combined extremely well to take out the event.
The big hitting duo showed they also possess the finesse around the greens to return 64.75.
This score was largely due to a great run on the back nine were the pair collected four of the nine novelties also up for grabs on the day.
Neil Motion and John Wray returned the same score as the winners but were relegated to the runners-up prize due to the countback system.
Neil and John were the club house leaders for best part of the day until the last card of Wazza and Smithy came in.
Cara and Brad Swan came in third place with a score of 65.5, followed by Dave Farr and Mick Jack 66, Trevor McCormick and Corey Old 66.25, Greg Bell and Dean Rakich 67, Ian Annandale and Jay Robinson 68, Kyle Hulls and Dave Blurton 68.25, Kevin Burton and Jeff Taylor 68.75 and Clayton Flynn and Frank Battista rounded out the vouchers also on 68.75
ON Tuesday 36 players played in the club sponsored Leisure Day. Making the most of his days off was Alby Hunter who returned 37 to be the day's winner.
In a warm up for Saturday, Warren Hann also had 37 but found himself on the wrong side of the countback this time and settled for the runner-up trophy.
Colin Giblett, Trevor McCormick and Graham Williams all returned 34, followed by David Laird and Wayne Waywood, all on 33.
The best vet on the day went to Eric Annandale with 34 points.
THE weather was finally nice for Thursday Scroungers after the last two scrounger events had to be called off.
Jason Mumme won the spin of the wheel from Bruce Miller, with both players having 19. Peter Coombes was alone on 18, followed by Greg Bell and Paul Moyses on 17.
Dave Henderson, Alan Kent, John Michalak, Eric Annandale and Ian Shannon were all rewarded for 16.
Greg Bell had the day's best gross with 40 off-the-stick.
