Current and past members of the Collie Coalfields Darts Club recently came together to celebrate three decades of the famous pub club.
More than 20 past and current coalfielders, and three generations of players, shared memories and beers as they reminisced on the good times and bad.
Current club president Shane Murray said the event was a well placed excuse to gather friends from over the years.
"We've been together for 30 years this year. We played out of the Collie Football Club and before that the Colliefields Pub," he said.
"So this was a way to get the guys together, show the new, younger guys a bit of our history, and show the originals their club and game is still going strong."
With generations of players, including fathers and sons and brothers, playing together in the club, Mr Murray said it was important to remember and acknowledge the club's history by ensuring the competition remained strong.
"We try to keep the traditions and memories we've set up strong. We have a club song which has stood the test of time, memorial days for those who have passed and it's all in an effort to remind the new players coming in of our history," he said.
"Competition-wise, Collie has proven to be strong in comparison to the South-West and even the state.
"I think we've managed this because here everyone joins because they enjoy it, we don't play for sheep stations and while there's rivalries during a game at the end of the night, we're always together, having a beer and enjoying the game."
From showing offf the original competition shirts to talking about more recent memorabilia, the men broke up the night with a few friendly games between mates.
Original player Tom O'Driscoll said the club had evolved since it's inception in 1989, but the spirit was still the same.
"I think the club has changed a bit over the years. Back in the wild days we had six teams and before a game we would sit at the pub and it would get rowdy as hell," he said.
"It's a bit more of a focused sport but that banter and spirit of those days is still there, even with the young blokes coming in."
Over it's 30 year history, countless Collie players have traversed through the club. Four members - Glen Stallard, Paul Bebbington, Ray Clunning and Shane Murray - have been inducted as life members, and the new generation of players have started as young as five.
"We're at the end of the season now, but once we get back up and running for next season we welcome anyone to come by and join in," Mr Murray said.
"That's the good thing about darts; you can be any age and any skill level and still enjoy it and succeed."
The Coalfields Darts Club plays on Wednesdays at the Premier Hotel.
