Two Collie business owners have exemplified excellent customer service, tying for the Chamber of Commerce's quarterly customer service award.
Shenae Chappell, of Iridescent Studio, and Paul Sweeny, of Collie Electrical Services, tied for the top gong last week after being nominated for going above and beyond the call of duty.
More than just your average hair dresser, Ms Chappell was nominated by a client for making their son feel more comfortable with haircuts by providing a more comfortable chair position, toys and even singing songs to ensure his experience was as comfortable as possible.
Mr Sweeny was nominated for repeatedly taking the time to help with a local boy's X Box and television cord issues and for ensuring their safety within mere minutes of the call for help. He was also recognised for consistently endeavouring to meet the needs of the Collie community.
Chamber chief executive officer Rebecca Woods said the awards helped to engage with the Collie community and get them to focus on the positive things happening in the town, rather than the negative.
