South West Police are ramping up their latest crime prevention campaign, taking the mobile police facility to Collie next week, October 21.
South West Police senior constable Neale Horsley said the three-day roadshow was about providing a greater police presence and an opportunity for smaller communities to meet their local officers.
The roadshow will also see police address a number of issues, including an increasing number of holidaymakers in the South West falling victim to theft.
"Police will be providing tips and information that will include viable home and vehicle security," senior constable Horsley said.
"There has been reported incidents at accommodation establishments down south where holidaymakers are coming down on holidays, getting into holiday mode and they're not locking up their vehicles, accommodation or securing their bicycles.
"As a result, people have actually had property, money and bicycles stolen.
"Crime prevention is really common sense.
"Like locking your house up when you go out, locking your back door if you're out the front or locking your vehicle and not leaving valuables in your car.
"We will also be encouraging the community to contact Crime Stoppers and report all suspicious activity.
"Any information the community gives us could just be that little piece in the puzzle that we do need so we can solve some of the crimes."
The roadshow will begin on Monday, October 21, in Boyup Brook from 9.30am before heading to Collie's Central Park from 12.30pm until 3.30pm.
On Tuesday, October 22, the facility will be set up in front of Harvey's Puma Service Station in the morning before heading to Waroona Memorial Hall in the afternoon.
The three-day roadshow will conclude in Australind at the Treendale Shopping Centre on Wednesday, October 23.
