Small businesses shone last week at the Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry Small Business Day.
Steere Street and Forrest Street businesses spilled onto the streets as they aimed to drive customers eyes to take notice of their goods and services.
Chamber chief executive officer Rebecca Woods said it was important for all locals to support small businesses.
"Small businesses provide half the private sector industry employment," she said.
"They support our sporting clubs and community events, they find it easier to attract and retain staff, they hire our kids in their first jobs and if you like having choice its important to support our small businesses here in Collie and shop local.
"If you don't, they wont exist. It's that simple."
Ms Woods encouraged locals to be an advocate for their town and ask businesses before shopping online or in another town.
WA Small Business Day is a state wide event and is a movement to celebrate what small businesses bring to the state.
