Collie men got the first win of the season in C-grade on Saturday when they come up against Colts.

Collies' captain Aaron Worlley won the toss and put the home side into bat.

Openers Jarved Dallywater and Luke McCormick were looking to get collie off to a fast start, but McCormick only lasted four balls before he was bowled.

The next two wickets fell pretty quickly until Worlley came to the crease and eased the pressure.

He and Dallywater put on a 92-run partnership before the captain was caught for 39.

Jarved was next out for a well made 72.

Adam Worlley (13), Steve Fraser (14) and Ayden Parkin (12) kept the score ticking over to post a solid total of 8/201.

Collies' opening bowling combination of Fraser and Jackson Broadbent got the home side off to the ideal start, with a wicket each inside the first few overs.

Colts then put on a 60-run partnership before a good piece of fielding from Aaron Worlley resulted in a run out.

Colts found scoring difficult and were only able to reach 6/162 at the end of their innings.

A solid win for the Collie team with everyone doing their bit to help the team.

C-grade are away to Hay Park next weekend, while the B-grade play host to Hay Park at Roche Park.
