Collie River Valley Little Athletics Centre has received a $3200 grant from Coles to buy a new line marker thanks to funds raised through the sale of Coles' Community Chiller Bags.
Collie River Valley Little Athletics' president Brian Kippin said the grant would make a significant difference to the centre, which needed new equipment to continually provide a high quality and safe weekly experience for its young athletes.
"The new line marker will reduce the amount of time needed to mark out our lines each week and having clear lines will improve the safety of our athletes, especially around the throwing events," Mr Kippin said.
Coles state general manager Pat Zanetti said Coles was delighted to provide grants to help the Little Athletics centres in locations such as Collie.
"The Collie River Valley Little Athletics Centre told us they would like to receive a grant to buy a line marking machine and we were delighted to help because we know this is an essential part of Little Athletics to support young budding athletes and parent volunteers," Mr Zanetti said.
