Hobart Hurricanes' supporters have voiced their disappointment at the 'stupid' time slot of Wednesday's WBBL match against the Sydney Sixers in Inveresk.
The Invermay Park match attracted 1008 spectators from 11am until 2pm, meaning many supporters were unable to attend due to work or school commitments.
A few schools did attend but after the Hurricanes lost their sixth match, several people aired their disappointment on Facebook at the chosen time slot.
Paula Richardson was one of many who said it was a 'stupid' and 'terrible' time slot, and a shame it was played when it was as it set crowd numbers up for a fail.
"Even early afternoon would have given a chance for a few more to get there. They obviously didn't care how many were there."
Paul Barker said some of the best Australian female cricketers, including Ellyse Perry and Alyssa Healy, were on display but it was showcased when children were at school and others at work.
"Terrible time slot, would of been there otherwise," he said.
Another less than ideal time slot awaits fans again when the Hurricanes return to Launceston's UTAS Stadium on December 20, a Monday night at 7.10pm, to face the Melbourne Stars.
