Dozens of excited and nervous four and five year olds gathered at Amaroo Primary School as they explored what kindy could be like for them next year.
On Tuesday November 12, Amaroo Primary School held a successful Kindy Open Day for 2020 students and families.
The children and their families were welcomed in by principal Natalie Cook and were introduced to their future teachers.
While the children played and had their faces painted by artist extraordinaire Miss McCormick and played with Playgroup WA, parents had the opportunity to speak to school staff members who would have an impact on their children if they attended the school next year.
Parents heard from Carole English and Bonnie Andrews of the Child and Parent Centre, school nurse Kerry Armstrong, speech therapist SueMaree Wilks and occupational therapist Linda Dryka.
Before leaving families received a Kindy Bag from Unity Bank Collie and the Amaroo Parent and Community Association which was full of information for parents and goodies for the children to enjoy at home.
