Chris Shea produced a whirlwind performance to win the closing winter event, an 18-hole stableford, sponsored by life members, Jim and Bev Moyses.
Starting on the back nine, Shea scored 19 points before storming home on the front nine where he scored 24 points to finish the day with an impressive 43 points. Runner-up was the in-form John Brown who again played a great round, finishing one shot behind the winner with his score of 42 points. In third position, on 38 points was Peter Coombs, followed, on 36 points apiece by Darren O'Brien and Narrogin's Pat Coll. Bruce Jackson and Hugh Annandale each scored 35 points, while Kevin Ireland, Tony Barker-May and Kim Metcalfe each claimed a voucher with their return of 34 points.
Lesley Motion was the runaway winner in the ladies competition, scoring 37 points, five shots clear of runner-up, Jodie Allison, on 32 points, with Debbie Van Vollenstee a further shot back on 31 points.

SCROUNGERS
A three-way tie at the top of the leader board had to be separated on a spin in last Thursday's nine-hole scroungers competition. With 20 points each, Ron Annandale won from Keith Godfrey and Rodney Simmonds. Following the top three, 10 players each finished with 18 points to claim a voucher. These players were Frank Battista, Jim Moyses, Jim Larsen, Mark Malatesta, George Newlands, Eric Annandale, Mick Pokrywka, John Jackson, Stephen Farquhar and Trevor McCormick.
Novelties went to John Wray (4), Greg Bell (6) and Peter Ellery (9).
LADIES WEDNESDAY
Nancy Lynn won last Wednesday's nine hole ladies summer competition. Her score of 21 points was one better than runner up, Olna Turner who scored 20 points on a countback from Lynne Simmonds, also on 20 points. Angela Ireland was next best with her score of 19 points.
Novelty winners were Shelley Barker-May with her closest approach on number two, while Bev Moyses won the nearest to pin on number ten.
LEISURE DAY
Jim Moyses was the winner by two shots in last Tuesday's 18 hole leisure day competition. He scored 39 points to win from seven players who each finished with 37 points.
In countback order, these players were Roger Hunter, John Wray, Ray Cooper (best vet), Kevin Ireland, John Brown, Alan Kent and Kim Derbyshire. John Williamson was also rewarded for his 36 point finish.
Novelties were won by Alan Kent (4 and 9), Kim Metcalfe (7 and 14) and Joe Italiano (18).
This weekend is the 2019 Summer Open on Saturday and Sunday, preceded by the Bushwalkers 4BBB stableford on Friday.
