Sharing History Session: The Darkan Primary School Kindy students paid a visit to the West Arthur CRC last week to learn about the library and also to meet some of the seniors in the community and learn a bit from them about how things have changed since they were kids. In class the kindy children have been looking at how things change and their session with the seniors allowed them to hear about what people used to do as kids in the "olden days." The adults also brought along items that aren't used that much these days such as hand power drills, kerosene lamps, flower arranging tools and some pounds, shillings and pence. It was an a wonderful experience for both the adults and children with portraits drawn, interviews done, information shared and games played. Thanks to Mrs Hogg from Darkan Primary for bringing along such delightful children and to the adults who came along and who were so patient and sharing with them.
