Local residents and organisations came together for a free Community Expo on Saturday, February 8, hosted by the Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Shire of Collie.
More than 40 groups signed up to attend the event, which was designed to offer local sporting clubs and community organisations the opportunity to share advertising material, membership documents, and details of upcoming open days and meetings.
Collie Chamber of Commerce chief executive officer Bec Woods said it was about allowing groups to showcase and market their services while also increasing foot traffic for businesses along Forrest Street.
The event is just one of a host of shire initiatives aimed at supporting the town's community groups and small businesses.
