Jobs are beginning to be filled and earthworks have begun at Collie's autonomous training facility announced last month.
The centre was announced by the state government in January and is the first of its kind in Australia.
WesTrac chief executive officer Jarvas Croome said the company was advertising for a facility coordinator role has begun this week and earthworks were on track for a May completion.
"WesTrac is also about to commence procurement of additional items such as signage, office furniture and kitchenware from local suppliers and we'll soon be seeking expressions of interest for ongoing services such as catering, cleaning and accommodation," he said.
Mr Croome also added there had been considerable interest to the initial haulage vehicle training as well as development of other potential courses.
