An exhibition showing a unique perception of Collie will open this weekend at Harris River Estate as WrensArt makes its artistic debut.
The man behind the venture, Mark Mawer, has combined photography and woodwork in a unique view of the region and hopes to finally share his concepts.
Mr Mawer said he was both nervous and excited to put his passion on show.
"I've been playing with cameras for a long time and a few years ago I had a change in direction in life and ended up with the Bunbury Mens Shed where they taught me how to use wood," he said.
"When we moved to Collie the two hobbies started to complement each other and it was a natural progression.
"I started thinking perhaps we could turn photography into a 3D art form by incorporating different frames and extending the photography into the physical space."
Relating the venture to singing competitions on television, Mr Mawer said he was interested to see whether the love he received from his friends and family would be reflected in the community.
Viewers can expect to see a unique concept showing a depth of symbolism from common Collie locations.
The exhibition titled Exhibition of Light will be on show at Harris River Estate Winery February 22 and 23 from 12noon until 3pm.
