A COLLIE River Valley Medical Centre employee has been recognised for business excellence.
Debbie Deangelis received the Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Customer Service Award for the January-March quarter.
Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief executive officer Bec Woods said Ms Deangelis was a worthy recipient of the quarterly award.
"She was nominated by someone that works with her for her infectious smile and good banter to ensure her workplace is happy whilst they are looking after their clientele," she said.
The award was sponsored by Collie Chicken Treat.
Ms Deangelis received a $100 Chamber gift voucher, along with a certificate and recognition.
Ms Woods said Ms Deangelis would also be in the running for another award.
"We hope to continue with the Collie Small Business Awards which will mean she is automatically entered into the Customer Service category," she said.
