Collie Power Soccer Club concluded their season in style on November 7 as both men's and women's teams celebrated their Awards Presentation Night.
Held at the Collie Ridge Motel, and MC'd by Rhett Sutherland, the teams and their respective partners enjoyed a night of festivity, entertained by local artists Kate Hindle and Mark Latham.
After COVID regulations threatened to cancel the entire season, all players were grateful to be able to play this season, albeit in a limited format.
The women's team, led by dual-Olympian Jeff Allen, built on last years success and performed admirably showing courageous fighting spirit every game.
Facing some stiff competition from Bunbury teams, they completed their season in 6th position and sent a message to the competition that they are a team to be wary of going forward.
The men's team, fresh off winning the Top Four Cup in 2019, were hoping for further success this year.
However, struggles with consistency, as well as string of injuries to their marquee striker Mark Latham, meant that for many games they were undermanned.
Despite this, the team, led by Garreth Harker, finished in a respectable fourth position and will look for further stability and commitment in 2021.
