After a tough year for many, Western Australian southwest coast MP David Templeman has brought smiles to countless faces once more with a song to wrap up parliament for 2020.
This year, Mandurah MP Mr Templeman opted to sing his own version of Hallelujah by Leanord Cohen.
The end-of-year performance has become a tradition politicians and West Australians alike have grown to love, after his first song made the news in 2017.
He serenaded his colleagues and those in the public gallery on Thursday for the last scheduled sitting day, after a busy year of COVID-19 related issues.
"You wondered out to the supermart and grabbed a lonely shopping cart but the hoarders had cleaned the shelves before ya," he sang.
"Down aisle three and aisle four there was no dunny roll at all - the world had gone made you were sure hallelujah.
"We were in isolation, isolation, isolation, isolation."
