The Shire of Collie acted swiftly after receiving reports from several local residents who spotted the pig at the swinging bridge, Scout Hall and Council's Timber Park Reserve.
The pig was caught by the shire and a local trapper near the Scout Hall in Coombes Street, then removed and killed.
The 40 kilogram animal was causing considerable damage to the environment and posing a risk to wildlife and residents.
Shire chief executive David Blurton said the removal of the pig was a good result, and commended the co-operation between the Shire of Collie rangers and the local trapper.
"It is not known how the pig came into the town site," he said.
Any further evidence of feral pig activity in town can be reported to the shire on 9734 9000.
