The near-fairytale debut season of defender Tom Langdon has been halted by his omission for Collingwood's pivotal home clash with Port Adelaide on Sunday.

Fit-again Alex Fasolo has replaced 20-year-old Langdon, who was rated a leading contender to win the Rising Star until he was knocked out in round 14, after which his form has suffered.
The Magpies have added Sam Dwyer, Brodie Grundy and Tony Armstrong to their extended bench, with the latter a chance to make his first appearance since his recruitment from Sydney at the end of last year.
Key defender Alipate Carlile and forward Angus Monfries are the more prominent inclusions for the Power.
Hawthorn's David Hale has, after a fortnight in the VFL, been given a chance to regain his forward-ruck role after being added to the Hawks' extended bench, in place of fellow big man Jonathan Ceglar, for its match in Launceston against Western Bulldogs. The Bulldogs have named the out-of-contract Shaun Higgins on their extended bench, after a VFL stint that pleased coach Brendan McCartney.
"He went back to work for a couple of things, and did that," the coach said. "It's tough when you're a seasoned AFL player to go back and deal with it but he went back and played a good brand of footy so he's certainly given himself a great chance to come back."
Creative defender Easton Wood is the only confirmed casualty from the Bulldogs team that lost to Essendon.
North Melbourne has made a change in key defence for its match against Geelong, recalling Aaron Mullett in place of Scott McMahon. The Cats have selected Allen Christensen and Mark Blicavs, which has forced the omission of Brad Hartman and Dawson Simpson.
St Kilda midfielder Jack Steven is back after missing two matches with injury, while Richmond has chosen Ricky Petterd and Ben Griffiths to replace the injured Steve Morris and suspended Ty Vickery.
