MERREDIN Playgroup celebrated the most exciting event of the year – the annual Christmas party with a visit from Santa.
Children accepted a gift each from the jolly rotund man in the red suit, but some of the younger ones needed the reassurance of mum accompanying them.
Older ones, who had been to previous Christmas parties and knew what it was all about, just about tripped over themselves in their eagerness to get to Santa.
The playgroup’s Throssell Road premises was spruced up for Santa’s visit with work recently completed on the front garden with funds from Merredin shire and Lotterieswest.
