The ceiling of a classroom at Medina Primary School has collapsed, trapping one of the students.
A school spokesperson said the ceiling of the pre-primary class caved in just after 9am.
She said one of the students was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with minor injuries.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services said three crews were at the Medina Avenue school.
Channel Nine reporter Emma Sheridan told Radio 6PR the young boy was covered in cuts from head to toe.
"We spoke to witnesses here on the scene and one father who was picking up his kid from playgroup heard the screams and ran to help," she said. "There was obviously a lot commotion at that stage.
"The Education Department says all parents that have kids in that class have been contacted and other students have been relocated.
"The classroom has been cordoned off and SES officers are here propping up the ceiling.
Ms Sheridan said the boy had only minor injuries and was expected to be released later today.
