UPDATE: A woman attacked by a crocodile in the state's remote north-west on Friday has been picked up by the Royal Flying Doctor and is on her way to Broome.
A spokesperson for the Royal Flying Doctor Service said the woman was attacked on the Prince Regent River in the Kimberley just after midday. Her condition was still unknown.
The RFDS crew flew to an airstrip on Koolan Island to help treat the woman, before taking her to Broome for treatment.
The extreme remoteness of the location of the attack has hampered the ability of other authorities to help.
