Four people have died in two separate car crashes in a horror Monday morning on WA roads.
Three people were killed in Glenfield, near Geraldton, after a Holden Commodore crashed into a Ford Futura just after 2am, according to police spokeswoman Ros Weatherall said
"The male driver of the Ford Futura and sole occupant of the vehicle left the scene after the crash, but was apprehended by police a short distance away," she said.
He was taken to to Geraldton Hospital with unknown injuries.
Major Crash officers from Perth are expected to arrive in Geraldton on Monday morning to carry out further inquiries.
Meanwhile, minutes after the fatal crash in Glenfield, a 24-year-old man died in a separate crash in the South West.
The man was driving along Vasse Highway just after 2.20am in Yoongarillup when his Mitsubishi Magna veered off the road and hit a tree.
He died at the scene.
