LOCAL dancer Kate Pinneri has won a scholarship for all-expenses paid dance camp.
The young dancer participated in a three day dance camp run by in Busselton by dance school Jazz Attack.
The talented dancer impressed the camp leaders and was awarded one of three scholarships given out to the group of forty dancers.
Kate has been taking dance lessons for the past year with Lyn Hansen School of Dance in Collie, and said dancing is her passion.
Dancers participated in workshops during the camp and covered a variety of dance styles that included jazz, hip hop, and circus.
Kate said she learnt a lot from the dance camp and felt her technique had improved.
“I felt happy and proud that I was chosen, I wanted to get a scholarship so I was excited to get it,” she said.
“I want to perform on Broadway when I’m older or be a dance teacher.”
Kate said she is looking forward to going back to the camp next year when she can redeem her scholarship.
