THE Collie Netball Association completed at the 11 and Under Netball Carnival in Busselton last Sunday.
The South West Carnival attracts teams from all over the South West with 21 teams nominated on the day.
Collie started the competition well against Bridgetown winning 13 to 8.
Narsiah Mumme playing goal shooter slotted 12 goals for her team and with Eshal Ali and Bridie Hanns in defence intercepting any loose balls Collie had control of the game.
Collie met Pinjarra in their next encounter and were down by four at half time.
A shuffle of the team at the break saw a more determined Collie side take the field but went down 16 to 12.
Bridie Hanns starred in goal keeper for Collie and with Zoe Bury getting the better of her much taller opponent Collie were very competitive against a well drilled team.
Bunbury were Collie's next opponent with Dempsey Shepherd moving to the goal shooter role and shot well to give Collie the 9 to 4 win.
Collie were unfortunate to go down 12 to 11 to Busselton in a hard fought match.
Goals were proving elusive but the hard work by Phoebe Stocks at wing defence and Anahera Taare through the centre caused Busselton into many errors to keep Collie in the game.
Collie met Boyup Brook in their next encounter with Gabby Payne moving into the goal shooter role with Dempsey Shepherd at goal attack, the girls did not disappoint putting 21 goals on the board.
The defence worked hard to keep Boyup Brook to a solitary goal.
Sophie Bury made her debut in the game replacing Narsiah Mumme who came off with 5 minutes left in the last half.
Sophie moved to the wing attack position and didn't disappoint.
The last game of the day was played against Manjimup with Collie controlling the game from the first whistle to lead 8 to 3 at half time and went on to win convincingly.
Anahera Taare continued her great form in centre with the versatile Zoe Bury playing goal attack and goal defence in the game.
Narsiah Mumme continued her brilliant shooting for Collie and was being fed well by wing attack Gabby Payne.
The day was very successful for the girls and proved that all the hard training paid off.
Coach Colleen DeAngelis was very happy with the girls performance on the day, finding positions that suited them and improving with each outing.
Kristy Bronickis assisted coaching and managed the girls well and Karen Long umpired to a high standard throughout the day.
