According to Collie Police, the Perth Magistrate’s Court placed a permanent seizure order on the woman’s $30,000 pink Holden Club Sport, that was then placed in Belmont’s Vehicle Impound Unit.
On August 10, the driver of the vehicle was stopped by police, and was summonsed on the offence of no authority to drive and had the vehicle confiscated.
The woman was convicted in Perth Magistrate’s Court for the fourth time for driving without a licence.
The woman had also been convicted in November 2015 and twice in December 2015.
The woman had appeared in Collie’s Magistrate’s Court in July charged with no authority to drive – suspended (other than fines suspension).
Collie Police Senior Sergeant Mike Dean said the incident served as an important message to young drivers in the South West that breaking the law has consequences.
“It is sad to see a young person lose such an expensive vehicle but if you defy the Magistrate on four occasions it is inevitable,” Sergeant Dean said.
