A WA man accused of raping and filming children has been charged after police allegedly discovered more than 2000 child pornography images on his computers.
The 22-year-old, who currently resides in Safety Bay, but has a home in the Pilbara town of Paraburdoo, was arrested in February following police search warrants at both residences.
He will face Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
Police will allege they uncovered 2300 images and 10 videos of children aged between six and 16 years old.
"Further analysis of these images seized identified the man involved in offences allegedly committed against three juvenile victims," a police spokeswoman said.
The man has been charged with sexual penetration of a children over 13 years and under 16 years, indecent dealing with a child over 13 years and under 16 years, indecent recording of a child known to be a lineal relative, used optical surveillance device and possession of child exploitation material.
