Photography enthusiasts once again have the chance to have their work featured in a calendar produced by the South West Development Commission (SWDC) which will be made available for free to promote the South West region.
People who submit entries in the ‘This South West Life’ competition will have the chance to be featured in the popular calendar, which is provided to residents and businesses such as hotels around the region.
SWDC acting chief executive Anna Oades urged photographers of all ages and skill levels, from amateurs to professionals, to send in their best shots.
“We all know the South West is a wonderful place to live, work and visit,” Ms Oades said.
“We’re challenging people to capture on camera the spirit of the South West in order to provide a glimpse of just how special our region really is.
“Enter today, and your photo could be displayed in people’s homes and offices next year.”
Photographs must have been taken in the South West between January 1 2017 and June 30 2017 to be considered. Thirteen photographs will be selected to feature in the 2018 This South West Life calendar, along with another 13 runner-up entries.
One entrant will have the additional honour of being the Chairman’s Choice, while another will receive the CEO’s recommendation for their photograph.
Collie resident Kimberley Cartledge supplied one of the winning photographs for the 2015 competition.
