Police have charged a 13 year old with being armed in a way to cause fear after the juvenile threatened another juvenile with a knife on October 10.
As a result of police inquiries the 13 year-old boy was charged and will appear next month in the Collie children’s court.
Collie Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar said a man had his license disqualified after a drink-driving offence.
“A 43 year-old man, who was not from Collie and was here working as a contractor, was caught speeding up the hill at about 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, and as a result was given a random breath test and blew 0.129 which is quite high,” he said.
“He had his licence immediately disqualified.”
Police are investigating after a suitcase was stolen on Friday, October 13.
“We had a a stealing of a suitcase from the front of a premises in Lane Street in Collie,” Senior Sergeant Soutar said.
“The suitcase was full of clothes and personal items.”
A man has been charged with disorderly conduct after behaving poorly outside the Collie police station on Saturday, October 14.
“A 46 year-old local man attended the police station who was looking for his vehicle as a result of being pulled over the previous night,” Senior Sergeant Soutar said.
“He attended at the station, where the station was closed to the public on a Saturday, he made himself known to us out the front, and as a result of his behaviour was charged with disorderly conduct, which was a fine of $500.”
Senior Sergeant Soutar is also reminding graduating year 12’s to be safe during the upcoming Leaver’s week.
“I attended Collie Senior High School on Tuesday, where the year 12’s were having a series of Leavers information sessions. I did a talk, St John did a presentation and also the school nurses did a presentation for the school leavers to give them information on what’s in stall for them and their behaviour over the coming period,” he said.
“We want them to remember leavers for all the right reasons.”
