Collie is entering an exciting and challenging phase as we seek a measured and stable transition from our dependence on the coal industry to a much broader, sustainable and self-sufficient economy.
A strong future in Collie depends on working collaboratively with key local and regional organisations and stakeholders as well as State and Federal government for mutually beneficial outcomes.
We need a strong Council with a broad range of experience and knowledge that collectively represents and supports the whole community and can work together to achieve our goals.
Over the last four years, I have worked to raise Collie’s profile as a great place to live, work, visit and invest.
My involvement in key projects has included the development of Collie’s new A-class Art Gallery, the beautiful town centre revitalisation and working to stimulate Collie’s growing tourism industry.
I am passionate about supporting small and medium enterprises to flourish and grow, and developing and supporting the next generation of community leaders.
My experience and skills are broad and varied, from multi-skilled roles in community organisations to community relations and communications for multi-national companies.
I have a strong background in corporate governance and am well equipped to help ensure Shire projects are conceived, planned and developed to help build a strong future for Collie.
