Collie’s senior citizens came together to celebrate the festive season at the Cheerio Club’s annual Christmas lunch.
More than 200 people filled the Mineworkers Institute on Thursday, December 12 to enjoy a nice meal with company.
It was the 64th installment of the annual event and was attended by several notable guests, including Collie-Preston MLA Mick Murray, shire president Sarah Stanley and deputy shire president Ian Miffling.
Attendees were treated to live music over lunch, which included a performance by Allanson Primary School students who sang a number of Christmas carols.
The Mineworkers Institute hall was decked out in a stunning array of Christmas decorations and the meal was served by a range of volunteers. The event was also live streamed on Collie Community Radio.
