Collie Police have charged a 50-year-old Collie man with possession of unlicenced ammunition after a traffic stop last week.
Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar said police had pulled over a vehicle on Park Street on the afternoon of January 19 and found the driver had unlicenced ammunition in his car.
Police also made a drug bust from a traffic stop that evening, when drug-related items were seized from a car on Throssell Street.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said two 18-year-old males were charged with drug offences and will appear in court later this month.
Police are investigating two separate incidents that occurred on January 20.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said police responded to an incident at the Crown Hotel around midnight, after a fight broke out and spilled out onto the street.
As a result of the incident, a man hit his head on the concrete and had to be taken to hospital.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said police have CCTV footage of the incident but are looking for anyone with any information to come forward.
Police are also investigating a disturbance between campers at Potters Gorge that occurred at around 6.30pm on January 20.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said that a verbal altercation between up to 10 people turned physical and that anyone with information should contact police.
Police were called to a disturbance at a house on Venn Street on January 21, where a 21-year-old Collie man was charged with criminal damage, disorderly behaviour and threats. The man was bailed and will appear in court next month.
Police charged two youths with endangering the safety of another person over a rock-throwing attack. The two youths will appear in the Children’s Court and had curfew conditions placed on them.
Senior Sergeant Soutar also said there had been a couple of break-ins over the last week.
A shed at a house on Wallsend Street was broken into on the night of January 17, with a TV and tools stolen, while another shed at a property on Mary Street was also broken into between January 21 and 22.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said the break-ins were a reminder for people to keep their sheds locked up.
Police are also investigating an incident at Coles on January 17 at about 1.15am where front windows of the store were smashed with a baseball bat.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said police were still investigating the theft of a front-end loader from a property on the Coalfields Highway and the break-in at the Collie-Cardiff RSL.
Anyone with information should contact Collie Police on 9734 6333 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
