In a week of high scoring John Williamson put every aspect of his game together to come in with a phenomenal score of 46.
In a field of 52 players Willow put all his recent bad luck on the course behind him and had a dream round with rumours in the club house Willow could have even nearly got 50 points if it wasn’t for a wipe and a couple of putts lipping out.
Terry Reeves can consider himself unlucky after scoring 44 points – a score good enough to win any other day of the week or year for that matter – and had to settle for the runners up prize.
Wayne Waywood continued his good run of form of late posting 41 for third place. Danny Clayton had 39 edging Garry Beard out on a count back.
Garry played a great round though shooting a one under par 71. George Newlands and Brad Evans both had 38 followed by Bruce Roberts and Joe Italiano on 37.
For the ladies Nancy Lynn was the winner by count back on 35 just edging out Dot Lawrence.

On Tuesday 28 players turned up for Club sponsored Leisure Day Trophy. Ray Cooper put on a master class shooting 36 off the stick on the back nine for a whopping 28 points.
Coops scored 44 altogether to win from Ray Alp on 40, William Hammond 39, Des Hebb 37, Fred Bronickis 36, Frank Battista and Alan Kent 35. The best vet on the day went to Steven Ireland with 38 points.
Thursday scroungers saw another impressive score with Steve Gianola returning 24 for the nine holes.
Ray Alp played well again with 20 to take second place.
Joe Italiano, Phil Warburton and Jim Tyler all had 19, Jim Larsen had 18 and Dave Farr, John Michalak, Rodney Simmonds and Graham Williams all had 17.
