The Collie RC Club hit the track last week, with racing on Thursday night and the Collie Cup on Saturday.
Thursday, February 8 results
2wd Buggy
Top Qualifier went to Darren von Bibra with a very consistent set of races that scored him the top points also. Frank Palermo came in second while running in stock configuration.
1st: Darren von Bibra; 2nd: Frank Palermo; 3rd: Jason Stanley.
4wd Buggy
Top qualifier was Matt Marchese with some great racing between Jason Stanley and Matt. Final results showed a different story when Darren von Bibra found some traction and took the first position. Very close racing in this class.

2wd Short Course Truck
Collie’s biggest class by far saw nine drivers qualify with Toby Stanley driving an excellent night taking out the top qualifier. The qualifying positions told the story with very little change to the order.
1st: Toby Stanley; 2nd: Steve Lewis; 3rd: Jake Robinson.
Special mention to Jake with very clean racing that bought him onto the podium.
1/8th Superlites
Dallas Millward walked away with the TQ with a very confident run.

Thursday night racing begins at 6pm at the Collie BMX / RC Tracks at the end of Wallsend Street.
Come down for some fast paced action under lights.
Saturday, February 10 results
An excellent day of racing was had on Saturday with over 45 cars racing for the season points. Racers came from Perth, Bunbury and even as far as Albany to join in on the action.
The great part was to watch all ages and genders all having fun together.
Novice
Novice class is the beginners class with a full 8 racers participating. Top qualifier went to young Jake Robinson with another consistent run all day.
1st: Titan Hawkins-Puls; 2nd: Jake Robinson; 3rd: Flynn Gladish.
Both Titan and Flynn were new to the sport and deserve credit. Well done to all.
2wd Buggy Mod
Michael Gislingham put up the pace early with a great set of qualifiers and taking out first place for the day.
1st: Michael Gislingham; 2nd: Darren von Bibra; 3rd: Paul O’shea.
2wd Buggy Stock
Frank Palermo set a very solid qualifier and was quite a distance in front of the pack with a well deserved top qualifier.
1st: Frank Palermo; 2nd: Franco Santella; 3rd: Jake Robinson.
2wd Short Course Truck
The big boys have seen the fun in SCT and put the heat on the pack. Gary Gislingham took out TQ and followed it up with a win for the day. A great class with heaps of bumping and grinding.
1st: Gary Gislingham; 2nd: Mario Santella; 3rd: Matt Marchese.
Toby Stanley needs a mention here as he battled it out with the guns to come in a very close 4th.
4wd Buggy
The class of all the classes. The racing got serious here with a full class. Qualifying saw the top 5 racers all on the same lap together which resulted in some extremely good close racing. TQ went to Gary Gislingham, but problems with his car resulted in falling quite a way behind.
1st: Dallas Millward; 2nd: Matt Marchese; 3rd: Darren von Bibra.
4wd Short Course Trucks
These trucks are very aggressive and great fun to watch. Mario Santella showed his intent early with qualifying took TQ.
1st: Mario Santella; 2nd: Shannon Barradeen; 3rd: Angus MacKay.
1/8th Superlites
Michael Gislingham and Dallas Millward battled it out for TQ with Michael taking it by only 1 lap. Very fast paced and dust was flying.
1st: Michael Gislingham; 2nd: Dallas Millward; 3rd: Ricky Pearton.
