It’s our favourite time of the week – a chance to reflect on the changes in our region, the faces and the fun that was being had during August 2007.
There was a lot going on around in Collie in August 2007.
The Shire of Collie and the Department of Water decided to clean up the Collie River, forking out $28,500 to pay a university professor to consult on the revitalisation management plan and establish a timeline for completion.
Locals raised over $3,000 at the Fairview quiz night with raised funds going towards funding the schools Canberra excursion.
Five gymnasts from Collie, Chenon Matthews, Breanna King and Shelley Taylor competed in the PCYC South West Regional Gymnastics Finals in Albany.
Shelley Taylor won five gold medals, Breanna King won two silver and one bronze medal and Chenon Matthews won a silver and two bronze medals.
